UMAMU Sauvignon Blanc 2011 receives Trophy for Best WA White from Australia Small Winemakers Show

We are over the moon to receive the Trophy for Best WA While from the Australia Small Winemakers Show 2024  for our UMAMU 2011 Sauvignon Blanc. Our very first Trophy!  We were runner up to the Jimmy Watson for our 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon but we have not ever received an actual Trophy.  So first you get a Gold then all the Golds in that class get a show off and a Trophy is chosen if warranted, it is not automatic.

My mother's favourite wine (until UMAMU Estate of course!) was a Pavillon Blanc from Chateau Margaux in Bordeaux. So when we started making our own wine in the Margaret River, Western Australia, we just had to produce our own Sauvignon Blanc to emulate it.  This wine has also flown on Qantas International First Class!
